You don't need to comment below and answer these questions. Ask these questions to yourself. Why you have always been so fugitive when someone asks these questions to you? Relax! today you are going to answer yourself honestly. 

So, if you think you are not doing well or you feel that you are not at the place where you are supposed to be or where you dreamt to be and you think you are not enjoying your job, your work, the career you chose, don't worry I'm here to guide you, to provide you with a locus which you can follow. This will not all of a sudden change everything, but I assure you that it will definitely help you to choose what is best for you, will show you a path.

Personal development is a way for people to assess their qualities and skills, consider their aims in life and set goals in order to maximise their potential. It enhances their confidence and lead to a more fulfilling life.

How you can work on Self Development


Start working on yourself from today itself. Yes, Don't wait for tomorrow. Stop waiting to do the things you want to do. Today is the day to just go for it.

Steps that will assist you to reach where you want to see yourself-

  • Set a goal- Analyse what excites you, where you see yourself after a few years, what kind of life you want to live. Ask yourself that what it will take to reach there? What you are passionate about and how your passion can make money for you?

  • Do SWOT analysis- Identify your Strength, Weakness, Opportunities available and Threat which is preventing you from achieving your targets.  Pen down all of them in your journal/diary, read them for a few days and think that how you can overcome these threats and how you could turn opportunities in your favour and start working on your weakness, don't let your weakness take a toll on you.

  • Self- talk- Talk to yourself at least once in a day. Admire yourself for the targets you have accomplished, ask yourself if you are happy and satisfied with your decisions, if not then how can you amend them.

  • Read books- Develop the habit of reading. You may have heard that knowledge is power and one of the best ways to acquire knowledge is reading. Read good books, get ideas from them, follow tips from the books you read, improve your skills. Get inspiration from the books.

  • keep yourself physically fit- Indulge in physical workout. A sound body reflects a healthy mind. Doing exercise daily not only helps you in maintaining a good body but also makes you strong inside out. It enhances your critical thinking skills and decision making power.

  • Welcome changes- Change is a part of life, changes are inevitable. See, you can't grow and learn in the same environment. You should welcome changes with optimism. Every change brings opportunity within itself. You have to leave your comfort zone, you will have to take the risk to choose your dream career. Don't be afraid of changes, you just go buddy!

  • Stop comparing yourself- You can't compare your chapter-1 with someone's chapter-20. You got my point? Even if you both are at same chapter, stop comparing because your situations are different, your struggles are different, your financial background could be different, your interests, values, etc., everything is different. You are a unique creation of God, stop insulting it by comparing yourself. Your only focus should be you and not anyone else.


  • Follow a healthy morning routine- Your morning decides your whole day. when you you wake up late you already wasted your essential hours, you might feel irritated and slothful. wake up early, make a healthy morning routine like- making your bed, drinking plenty of water, having tea/coffee/ detox drink and do some stretching, never forget to be grateful for the things and facilities you have got, meditate for at least ten minutes.DON'T TOUCH YOUR PHONE RIGHT AFTER YOU WAKE UP OTHERWISE YOU WILL END UP WASTING A HELL LOT OF TIME.

  • Identify your Hobby- It is very important to always give time to the things you love to do because when you are overwhelmed with work, stress, etc. It is your hobby that helps you to feel fresh. Hobbies could be anything like- weight lifting, dance, music, painting, writing, any kind of creativity or whatever that makes you feel happy, that excites you and you must love doing that thing.

  • Try to learn new things everyday- There are so many things around us which we need to know about, which we can learn. Learn new words everyday, learn a new language, learn to dance, to sing, learn to cook your favourite dessert. Am not asking you to learn everything in one day, take small steps towards learning. Why i'm insisting much upon learning because when you will learn something new each day, you will feel motivated, you will feel the sense of accomplishment. It will keep you curious and encourage you to learn more.

  So, stick to these points and you will witness the transformation in yourself. You will feel more confident and positive. With SWOT analysis and self talk you will be able to know yourself better. It will help you in pursuing your career. Follow your instincts, you will never regret, do those things which you are passionate about, you will never regret it. Don't suppress your inner self by your family's and society's pressure.
